Quick start — 5 essential steps

Purchase & inspect: Buy from official channels. Inspect the tamper-evident packaging before powering up.
Visit the official start page: Open trezor.io/start and follow the guided onboarding.
Install Trezor Suite: For full functionality, install Trezor Suite or use the web wallet as instructed.
Create & back up your seed: Write down the 12/24-word recovery seed exactly as shown. Store it offline (paper or metal backup).
Use Trezor Bridge if needed: If your browser requires a USB bridge, download it from trezor.io/bridge.

A few quick rules to keep your crypto safe when starting up:

Never share your seed phrase or enter it into a website or app.
Confirm addresses and transaction details on the device screen — not the computer.
Keep firmware updated only via Trezor Suite and official channels.
Consider adding a passphrase (hidden wallet) for extra protection.

Device not recognized: Ensure Trezor Bridge is installed and try a different USB cable/port.
Firmware prompt: Only accept firmware updates from the official Suite. If unsure, check Trezor Support.
